its another beautiful day

its such a beautiful day =] i got to spend quality time with each of my lovies, alone. we never get to do that... we spent all day outside =] it was equally awesome that i finally figured out how to switch to black & white & sepia with my phone camera, we had a full day of photo shoots. hehe. we took a break to go to lot for tots to pick up some Ts and sandals for the youngsters so they wouldnt be all sweaty also got them each hats since they've inherited my very very fair skin. =] i must admit my phenixmatthew looks incredibley baller in his hat ^_^ and he even wore it! the morning was rough, real rough. everything went wrong. and i mean EVERYTHING. so i took a deep breath, abandoned my housework and focused on my loves, and that fixed everything. phenixmatthew in particular made my day... i went outside in the a.m with hailyn first because p was napping. hailyn had so much fun! played with everything she could!! it was awesome to watch. she even made me "lunch" with her sandbox plates n such. then as hailyn napped this afternoon, phenixmatthew and i went outside, and what did he do? he made grumps at my constant photo taking *i couldnt help itttt! he looks so dern cute in that hat!!!* so i quit. kind of. then he held my hand WILLINGLY and we walked to the mailbox. that melted my heart. i loooove holding baby hands. but the next happy part kinda blew my mind. instead of playing in the sandbox or on the slide or with his ball or the chalk, all of which were out and readily available... he followed me and sat on my lap (ok, laid on my lap) while i sat in the grown up swing and we just floated around for a good 45mins - hour... and he was totally content. thats what he wanted to do, was just sit with me. i felt so very loved.... then when my back couldnt take it anymore i said "Should we go inside P?" and he says "ya." and slides off my lap and holds out his hand again (awwww) and we walked inside and then he climbed in my lap and sat there and watched tv. Phenix is almost 18mos old now, and the fact that he still sits still, and chooses, happily, to sit with me, is the most incredible loving thing... if a grown man would choose to sit with me over "playing" with all the exciting things in the world... my life would be perfect. there was just something so incredibley WOW and loving about having my son choose to sit with me... it just blew my mind..simple things make big impacts people =] ohhh happy happy happy...

anddd here's some random lyrics from my fave cd, "The moment" by framing hanley. i love love love them! before i thought of matthew, i wanted phenix's middle name to be hanley. (i like matthew better tho =] hehe) i strongly suggest downloading the cd. its epic =]

A pen ends a note
Is this all that I have earned?
The words you wrote are from lessons
You've unlearned about who you are inside.
What are you trying to hide?
'Cause I can see through you so clearly.

Now you're standing at the edge
of breaking new ground.
There's so much in your head
before you hit the ground.
Just wave goodbye
To everyone you thought you knew
Just wave goodbye
To everything that's keeping you alive
Keeping you alive
Just say goodbye
Say goodbye

Before you choke.

Girl the time has come
to make all your wishes
And burn, burn, burn, burn,
Burn all your bridges.
And hope they remember you,
as something more than just a failure.
Something more than a lock without it's key
'Cause that was me.

Now you're standing at the edge
of breaking new ground.
There's so much in your head
before you hit the ground.
Just wave goodbye
To everyone you thought you knew
Just wave goodbye
To everything that's keeping you alive
Keeping you alive
Just say goodbye.

Think twice, think twice, think twice
Don't say goodbye.
Think twice, think twice
Just clear your mind
Think twice, think twice,
Think twice for me this time.

Just wave goodbye
To everyone you thought you knew
Just wave goodbye
To everything that's keeping you alive.
Keeping you alive.
Just say goodbye.
Say goodbye
Goodbye...
