love day

hey booboos. how was all your love days?? mine was nice... i ran some errands with the kids and they sat PATIENTLY *GASP* through my hour & a half of physical therapy! well, phenix cried, but i think its just so rebecca would hold him, i think he secretly loves her. hehe. eric cooked up some swordfish for me! when he got out of boot camp, after we'd been engaged for...four months already?? we went on out first real date! he'd never taken me out before! (what a bum..) but we went to this ultra fancy restaurant called the Fish Market in san diego.. we got the most delicious swordfish ever. i remember so clearly.. i wore a black dress, he was in his alphas, i felt like such a grown up!! (i was 17!) anyway. we had this amazing swordfish at $75 a plate and now for special occasions eric re-creates this dish with perfection! he doesnt cook much, but when he does,...mmmm. ^_^ phenix and hailyn were extra snuggly.. eric kept joking that phenix was giving him the stare down, trying to keep daddy away from "his girl" ahh i love my boys..

i took a trip to the craft store yesterday and got lost for an hour... i found many lovely things. i found some of those snappy vintage sass things.. a photo of a 50s lady with a sassy saying on it.. i got some recipe cards of it. and they had lace doileys for a dollar so i got some to cut up for my art project.. they reminded me of my mom, she STILL has doileys all over the house.. made me sad but oh well. i also was trying to find heavy paper to make my own art journal, i assumed id have to bind it myself (paiiin) but i found a mixed media journal notebook by faber castell for 7.99 and it was precisley what i need. exceptional. then my final purchase was a bigass pack of sharpies!! TWENTY SHARPIES! in all diff. colors!
seeee, i have to write with markers because my hands cramp up bad with regular pens now a days, and i write constantly, its my favorite. (but whyyy kels? whyyy are you so weak?! my doc is certain i have lupus, but it can take up to 7 years to get a concrete diagnosis, so for now we're just assuming so. this means im weak and i hurt and i need more naps then my 2 year old ((but dont get them)) and i endure hours and hours of pt each week and wear a TENS unit to shoot electrical impulses to block pain signals to my brain....) but again,, SHARPIES!!! sharpie rainbow! im very excited!
its a cloudy day in sunny california, so im having a mama day to do all things creative. i have letters to write, art journals to work on, and something yummy and fancy to cook! i love cooking! im thinking of making bread from scratch.. but we'll see what my body lets me accomplish today..
so by now im feeling pretty bad because this post is hella boring (aside from the sharpie news..) but later, prly towards the end of nap time when ive accomplished more then just getting dressed, i will post photos of my first art journal pages, and a review of life as we know it, which we watched before bed last night!
